Whether you're a writer, researcher, or just someone who loves organizing web content, this tool simplifies the process by allowing you to copy content in various formats, generate PDFs, or print selections with ease.
Quick Content Picker lets you highlight content from any webpage and choose how you want to use it. Copy it as Markdown for notes, HTML code for web development, or rich text for documents or email. You can also download your selection as a PDF or send it straight to your printer—all with just a few clicks.
Select and Format: Grab content from any webpage and refine it to suit your needs.
Multiple Copy Options: Copy your selection as Markdown, HTML, or rich text.
PDF Generation: Download your selected content as a PDF file.
Print Directly: Send your selection to your printer with one click.
Cancel selecting: To cancel the waiting status of the selection you just need to press the ESC key.
Download the Extension: Get Quick Content Picker from the Chrome Web Store by clicking "Add to Chrome."
Confirm Installation: Click "Add Extension" in the pop-up window to install it.
Find the Icon: Once installed, the Quick Content Picker icon will appear in your Chrome toolbar.
Note: No developer mode or manual setup is required when installing from the Chrome Web Store.
Getting started is simple! Follow these steps to make the most of the extension:
Open a Webpage: Navigate to any webpage with content you'd like to capture.
Click the Icon: Locate the Quick Content Picker icon in your Chrome toolbar and click it to activate the extension. You can also find Quick Content Picker icon more conveniently in the right-click menu.
Select Content: Highlight the text, images, or other elements on the page you want to work with. The extension will detect your selection automatically.
Open the Editor: A WYSIWYG html editor in a floating layer will appear with your selected content ready for action. The content in the editor has automatically been initially cleaned up, removing most of the redundant tags, properties and styles.
Choose an Action: Use the buttons in the popup to process your content:
Format: Clean up and standardize the selected content for better readability.
Copy Markdown: Convert the content to Markdown and copy it to your clipboard—perfect for note-taking apps like Obsidian or Notion.
Copy HTML: Copy the raw HTML code, ideal for web developers or bloggers.
Copy Content: Copy the selection as rich text, ready to paste into emails or documents.
Download PDF: Save your selection as a PDF file to your computer.
Print: Send the content directly to your printer.
Done!: A confirmation message will let you know when your action is complete (e.g., "Markdown content copied to clipboard").
Highlight Carefully: Select only the content you need to avoid extra clutter in your output.
Check Formatting: Use the "Clean up" button first if the content includes unwanted styles or tags.
Clipboard Ready: After copying, paste your content anywhere—Word, Google Docs, or your favorite Markdown editor.
Cancel Selecting: To cancel the waiting status of the selection you just need to press the ESC key.
